Our Story

Whisper of the Winds is one of the core chamber groups of ANIMA Ensemble and stands as one of Hong Kong’s most accomplished and dynamic woodwind ensembles.

The members of the quartet are all alumni of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, with several further honing their craft at world-renowned institutions such as the Manhattan School of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. The quartet’s members currently hold principal and tutti positions in the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Symphonic Winds, while frequently performing with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Macao Orchestra, and Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra.

The four members have achieved remarkable individual success, garnering awards at prestigious international competitions across the Netherlands, Belgium, Thailand, and Australia. Beyond their deep roots in classical music, the ensemble actively explores musical diversity through large-scale productions such as the "Disney in Concert" series and Hong Kong Arts Festival productions. They have also been invited to represent Hong Kong in cultural exchange performances in Australia, Switzerland, and Japan, consistently demonstrating exceptional artistry and professional excellence.
